Nut butters are a great additive to so many recipes and unfortunately ones in the supermarket can often be packed with unnecessary preservatives and sugars. The beauty of making your own nut butter is that you can play around with a variety of flavours and different nuts and know exactly what’s going into it.
This one here is almond and coconut butter. I keep it in my fridge and use it in my smoothies and baking and mum eats it on her toast for brekky.
1 cup of roasted almonds
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup shredded coconut
Place all ingredients into a blender and blend for 3-5 minutes until a smooth, runny paste has formed and all the nuts have been broken down properly. Store in fridge .
