Bliss balls and protein balls are great ‘3pm snacks’ as the high content of good fats and protein help to curb sugar cravings, stabilise blood sugar and tie you around until your next meal. These bliss balls are less sweet than most and are nice and crunchy with a great variety of super seeds in them!
1/2 cup nuts
1/ cup oats
3/4 cup mixed seeds ( pepitas, chia, flax, sunflower any you like!)
1/4 cup shredded coconut
1 tbsp of nut butter
2 tbsp of coconut oil
1 tbsp tahini
sprinkle cinnamon (optional)
1 tsp vanilla essence (optional)
pinch sea salt
- Place all ingredients into a blender and blender on a medium speed for about 15 seconds. You want the mixture to be a bit chunky but not too much. It should be damp enough to roll together but not wet like a paste.
- Roll the mixture into balls and place in the fridge
- Best to keep these in the fridge otherwise they will easily melt
- Feel free to roll the balls in shredded coconut or crushed almonds or any other healthy alternative
