Anti Inflammatory Stir Fry

As it gets colder, I find myself craving warmer meals like this yummy stir fry. Many of these ingredients are also high in anti inflammatory properties, so are great for the body when fighting any flu symptoms or suffering from any inflammation in the body. It’s the kind of recipe you can substitute with your favourite protein and vegetables and doesn’t take long to make at all. This one had a nice spicy kick, but you can always leave out the chilli if you prefer more mild flavours

(Serves 2)


3/4 cup cooked brown rice

1/2 head broccoli

1/2 fresh chilli

2-3 kale stalks (just the leaves)

1 tbsp turmeric powder

1 tbsp tamari

2 tbsp coconut oil (give or take)

1 egg (optional)

1 tbsp fresh ground up ginger

1 small can chilli tuna (optional)

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp chilli flakes


  1. Heat a large pan with the coconut oil, ginger and fresh chilli on medium heat
  2. Throw in all the vegetables and cooked rice into the pan
  3. Add spices of choice ( I used paprika, chilli flakes, turmeric) and tamari and stir through
  4. When it is almost cooked, add your protein of choice and stir through
  5. Serve and eat!
