Best of Both Toasts

 

Most mornings I wake up and can never decide whether I want a sweet or savoury breakfast ( I often end up having a bit of both), so this is the perfect go to when you just can’t decide! Have a play with what different sweet and savoury ingredients you have in the cupboard. I have put what I ate and a few other suggestions below!

Toast 1: (Sweet)

Above I have a piece of buckwheat gluten free toast topped with banana, tahini and homemade granola (find recipe here). Banana and tahini is the best combo if you haven’t tried! Other ingredients you can try are:

  • nut butter
  • coyo
  • cacao nibs
  • fresh berries
  • shredded coconut

 

 

Toast 2:(Savoury)

On a piece of gluten free buckwheat bread I have avocado, kale and sesame seeds. Other ingredients you can try are:

  • tahini( not just for sweet! It is great with sautéed greens as well)
  • spinach
  • sauerkraut
  • eggs
  • hummus
  • leftover roasted veggies (e.g. brussel sprouts!)
  • pepitas/hemp seeds
