Another cookie recipe you ask? But I know you’re not complaining. Possibly one of the easiest and most delicious, warming cookies great for the afternoon with a cup of herbal tea. Using cinnamon to curb those sugar cravings and stabilise blood sugar while combining wholesome cashew butter to give you a great dose of healthy fats for that extra glow. Eat while warm with an extra dollop of nut butter for a satiating, healthy and wholesome treat.
2 tbsp maple
2 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp nut butter
1 cup almond meal
2/4 cup coconut flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp vanilla protein(optional)
- Preheat oven to 170 degrees celsius
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl or blender
- Line a baking tray and roll into desired size balls
- bBake for 20 minutes
- Top with extra nut butter, cashews or a sprinkle of hemp seeds and cacao nibs is yummy too!
Note : if you are buying your cashew butter, make sure to source one that is natural. Some supermarkets sell some full of preservatives. Check the ingredients so that it is just pure nuts and possibly some sea or rock salt. I get mine from bulk whole foods stores e.g. naked foods or you can make your own by blending nuts in a blender! Enjoy xx
