These great high protein bliss balls are the best go to for a great energy boost. These are date free, with a small dose of honey, using a sweetener rich in anti bacterial properties and immune boosting agents. Protein and high fat based, these balls combine a unique flavour of carob a great alternative to your regular cacao flavour and are great to make as part of your meal prep for the week to grab and take on the go!
1 scoop protein powder of choice
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp carob powder( can use cacao too)
½ cup coconut flour
2 tbsp almond butter
1 heaped tsp honey ( or maple for vegan)
½ cup mixed nuts
1/4 cup seeds( I used pepitas and sunflower)
2 tbsp coconut oil
dash warm water
- Combine all ingredients besides water in a blender until smooth.
- Add water slowly and carefully as you want to make it moist but not too sticky or wet or they will be hard to roll, so you may not need to use it all.
- Roll into balls and place in freezer or fridge. Take on the go to work, school, uni or the gym for a pre or post workout snack .. YUM!
